The simulated metrics for the presentation with the navigation bar appear to be based on the dimensions of the navigation bar in portrait mode . When the application is compiled and launched, the landscape navigation bars are actually thinner (less tall) than in portrait mode.
Is there any clean way to fix this otherwise than programmatically adding my navigation bar by inserting a thin placement indicator bar into my XIB while leaving the simulated metrics? That would be a shame because I liked using simulated metrics.
