GIF to AVI with windows Animation Control

I tried to convert a GIF image (awaiting Ajax):

waiting GIF ...

in AVI to be used with TAnimate control (win32 animation control).

I tried several tools, but the problem is that the output AVI is either not suitable for controlling the animation, or not transparent.

Notes:

  • I do not use the Windows XP Theme manifest (D5). Common Avi is transparent, even if my program is not a theme.
  • Using GIFs to display animations is not an option.

Do you know any tool that can help me in this conversion?

EDIT:

I tried using ImageMagic with ffmpeg as described here . but I can not install ffmpegfor encoding msrle.

Please note that I know that you are looking for a solution for transparency AVI, it’s just an alternative way of presenting the “progress” to the user, which seems easier (regardless of media playback in Windows) and flexible (such an animation controller can be used on any image )
