I have been using the Awesome Tiling window manager for over 6 months and am very pleased with this.
I would like to write my own window manager as a project for the weekend and for hackfun. I noticed that Xmonad and dwm are very small. I know the Qtile python window manager.
I don’t know where to start. Should I read and understand any Xorg / api manual? Are there any Python libraries for managing windows? Please suggest how to continue writing the window pane manager.
It would be great if you could share similar impressions when writing the window manager.
