Inventor application source code

After Google stopped supporting Android App Inventor on December 31, 2011, it was reviewed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Mobile Learning Center, and will restart its service in the first quarter of 2012 for public access.

It is currently not possible to extract the source code from your previous projects, is MIT planning to support this? Was there any progress in this?

If you download a project and unzip it, you can see the source code: a list of components used, their properties, blocks used, how to connect them, etc. This is probably not what you want.
