Using context to enhance part of speech tags

Are there any general or recommended methods for using the context of a word to improve the accuracy of partial speech tags?

For example, if I had a suggestion:

I played golf on the links.

The word β€œlinks” can be either singular (golf course) or plural. I tried this sentence in a few grammar steps, and they all correctly recognized the sentence as valid.

The problem is that they also thought this sentence was valid:

I clicked on the links.

Is there a good way to use context (clicked against golf) to bring out the right part of speech?

Thank!
