I noticed that when contacting pcl (a cloud-based cloud library), some of the DLL stub DLLs are more than 10 MB, where the dll itself has less than half that size (these are release builds!). Should the lib stub contain only minimal information so that the available dll information is available? How can it be more than the DLL files to which they refer?
The relevance for me is that when linking to large stub files, my own executables also grow very large in size; something i wanted to prevent using dll.
Are there any settings in VS that change the behavior of the linker behavoiur dll so that it places more or less material in stub files?
