Backbonejs view without model

Question

Can I get a view without a model?

I just want to display some data using a basic view that I am familiar with. Data does not map to a REST URL or to any model.

Can I do this or should I just create a model?

You do not always need a model.

Models and views should not be 1: 1. In fact, they are probably rarely in practice. Some views may display data for several different models. Others may not be there, but instead they can listen to DOM events or display data from a third-party source or any number of other things that do not require a model.
