How to add new codecs for Matlab?

Is there a way to download new codecs for matlab? It supports only basic codecs and filters. I need to use uncompperessed video in matlab

On Linux, you can use all GStreamer plugins.

On Windows, you can use DirectShow codecs, including ffdshow . In addition, you can use ffmpeg to transcode the video or record frames of video into a series of images.
