I created a widget in Dashcode. It has several buttons, text fields and texts. It works great when launched from Dashcode or when installed in the dashboard. When I install it in the iBook (via iBooks Author) and launch it on the iPad, then the buttons and texts disappear (as well as a few other minor visual changes). Interestingly, if I touch some buttons, it raises a button click event, but others do not work. In addition, when an event with the click of a button updates the value of the text, the text becomes visible.
I tried both GlassButtons and regular buttons, and did not appear. I looked at the properties of buttons that work against those that don’t, and they seem to be the same (outside of id and value).

Note 8 where the text value has been updated. The connect and update buttons work when you click in the right place, but none of the others work.
As a side note, this widget connects to a web service over the network using the RemObjects SDK for JavaScript , which is very cool. The web service works if I can just open the buttons.
