Visualvm story chart

Is it possible in visual vm to set memory, process / gc activity, etc. graphs to change over time without downscaling x? When the application starts, the graphs look good, but after a while they are tightly compressed along the x axis, and it becomes cumbersome to see what is actually happening in the application.

You can do a few things:

  • Go to tools>optionsand change “Monitored Host” and / or “Monitored Data” to something less than the default 60 minutes. 60 minutes means that the chart will remember data for the last 60 minutes.
