What is the standard way to package packages for distribution in symfony2?

Question

I have several packages that I will probably reuse in different projects or even share with people, and I want them to pack them in a distributed manner.

What is the best way to pack them?

I also considered distributing it using an example application to get started quickly with people, is there a more or less standard way to do this?
