Is there a way for Nimbus Look & Feel to display its own windows for the top level JFrame?

Is there a way for Nimbus Look & Feel to render its own windows for the top level JFrame? I rummaged through the Internet, and I am beginning to suspect that this may not be possible. Has anyone really succeeded (and cared) about that?

Nimbus decorations are nice and neat for internal frames , but, apparently, there is no way to provide the same effect on JFrameand JDialogs.

I tried nimbusx (Nimbus Extensions), a library that subclasses JFrameand JDialogpresumably applies nimbus-style ornaments to them (then you just need to instantiate the nimbusx classes instead of JFrameand JDialog); but it doesn’t actually work, and it has been inactive alpha since 2009.

So, has anyone succeeded in making their nimbus compatible Java application look consistent across all platforms if Nimbus LAF takes care of window decoration?

I have done this with JGoodies Looks in the past. I don't know if Nimbus supports this or not.

LAF, , JFrame ( JDialog, ).

JFrame.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated( true );
JDialog.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated( true );
