Avoid extra reading the database in the getAsObject method of the converter class by caching the client side of the data?

I am showing a list of suggested elements in an input element autocomplete. For this I need to implement converterto convert entity<entityName, entityId>to entityNameand vice versa. However, when implementing this, I realized that I had to read the database more than once in order to find the corresponding entityId for the selected name of the entity (while getAsObject()), I wonder why this is not stored somewhere on the client side, so it entityIdcan be passed on selection entityName.

Is there any way to avoid this extra reading?
