How to connect an iOS device to a custom USB device?

I am developing my own electronic device - I think this is a special type of data logger, and I need to connect a computer to it in order to configure it and extract the data.

I know that I can do this without any problems on the PC, but I would like to use an iOS device for this.

Two questions:

Can I do this with a regular dock connector / USB cable? Will EA platform let me do all the messages?

Once I retrieve the data, what's the best way to get this from the iPad? Make an email with it, save it to Dropbox or something else?

Thank!

very few documents on using EA.framework. All juicy parts are in the Mfi program, but Apple is very strict in providing access to it.

So, if you succeed, sharing the tut will make you an EA hero;)

About sharing your data, imho, email + CSV is a winning combination.

If you want to connect something to the dock connector, you want to see https://developer.apple.com/programs/mfi/
