Connecting PHP to IBM UniVerse

Question

I have a very simple question. We have an IBM UniVerse server, and I want to connect to it through PHP in the same way as I use to connect to MySQL. I do not know any other information (server version, age, etc.). All I know is that it runs on * NIX OS.

Can someone point me to a starting point? Are there any drivers that I can use (libraries for PHP?)? I need to know more information (it will be difficult, but I can try).

The easiest way to do this is to use the ODBC driver.
