The lack of h files and the helper editor does not work because of this (monoTouch / MonoDevelop)

I was missing .h files when I first started my HelloWorld in MonoTouch / MonoDevelop. I have the same question as this guy , but the answer provided did not help me.

I just installed everything I need for MonoTouch on a MacBook running Lion. I followed the steps / installation instructions (see here ) and then created a new solution.

But since there are no .h files, this means that I use the Builder interface in Xcode, I get a “No Assistant Result” when I open the “Builder Helper”.

I tried to create the HelloWorlsViewController.h file manually, but it also does not help.

EDIT Here is a DailyMotion screencast that shows the problem: http://www.dailymotion.com/waggerdagger#videoId=xok9gs

Try closing Xcode and MonoDevelop completely, and then opening MonoDevelop again. It worked for me.

How do you open xib file in Xcode?

You need to double-click the xib file from MonoDevelop so that MonoDevelop creates a fake project (with header files) to use Xcode.
