Log in to Facebook in a mobile application

I plan to integrate the Facebook Login feature on the iPhone / Android app; and I have a PHP server to support user details.

Am I confused by what is the standard way to implement this function?

This is so: after the user has successfully authenticated through Facebook, I have to get his / her data and ask him for a password in order to register it in my back-end or is there something else that needs to be done, and I don’t know .

Please offer a standard way to implement this feature.
