Facebook Post featuring an image posted on a public CDN

Facebook apparently blocks any image I mention that is supported by CDN.

  • It's true?
  • Is there any way around this?
  • Is there documentation that says you can and cannot refer to the "Image" argument of a message?

  • Yes, facebook does not allow the use of images from it CDN in messages, shares, etc.
  • Yes. You can use an intermediate page that takes a CDN image and copies it on the fly. My script does just that (see below)
  • There is no official documentation regarding the use of CDN images.
