This is an open-ended question about Android ListViews, Gestures, and Animations. I'm really not familiar with gestures in Android, so I'm just looking for ideas and a gray matter on this.
Here are two screenshots and video examples of the impact on what I'm trying to do. Think about taking a look at the video, it's really worth it.

The question is, how would you implement the βopen listβ gesture, similar to the one that I increasingly see in iPhone / iPad applications, but for Android?
Change 1, idea 1:
The first idea, the Pinch AFAIK gesture, is somewhat like a drag gesture, so I think we can get the X and Y coordinates of two fingers on the screen?
