How to remove profile fields from mantis

I would like to remove the Select profile and all its accompanying fields from the Mantis problem tracking system when creating or viewing problems, since they are not related to any problems that I would like to create.

These include the platform, OS and OS fields, which are also included in the profile section.

Anyway, can I do this?

Answered to the mantism support forum. You can do this by typing

$g_enable_profiles = OFF;

to config_inc.php file. If the file does not exist, you can create it in the root web directory, i.e.
