Mac OS X Lion does not have / Developer / usr folder

I was busy trying to get Eclipse for C ++ to work with Mac OS X Lion.

I downloaded Xcode 4.3, so there should be a / Developer / usr folder with gcc, g ++, make, and other compilers. However, although I have a / Developer folder, I do not have a / Developer / usr folder.

How do I get this? I think it may have disappeared when I tried to symbolize the contents of / Developer / usr / bin to use the default / usr / bin to use Eclipse. Not sure if this could happen.

This has infuriated me for about a week!

You may also consider installing the new Apple Command Line Developer Toolkit for full customization, including manpages. I commented on this question and provided a link here .
