In my standard VS2010 setup, on the left side is the Solution Explorer console, into which several other panels are added (Class View, Team Explorer, etc.):
However, if I clicked the pin icon to collapse this panel (to give me more room to work on my code), then later click the kick to re-dock, it always looks much thinner: see the second screenshot below .
