We have an external SharePoint site that should be available to our intranet users and several users over the Internet. The SharePoint site is in a separate domain from our intranet, but this separate domain trusts the intranet, so internal user credentials work with the SharePoint site. As long as I have trust settings in their browser, they will be automatically authenticated on the site.
The problem is with external users. They also have accounts, but on our external network. By default, they will receive a call / answer from the browser, and since they are not registered on the network, they must enter their credentials. I would like to be able to present them with a good shape, rather than using a request / response window. But I do not want to force internal users to enter anything at all.
Is there a way to simply replace the popup redirect with a form that I can control? Everything must be authenticated, and in the end it is all Windows authentication, I just want to control what people print, but keep one sign.
I know that you can probably do this with multiple entry points to the application, etc., but I was hoping to keep it simple.
