In Android ICS, there are 3 ways to communicate using P2P. 1. enableForegroundNdefPush (exists from gingerbread cookies) 2. setdefPushMessage 3. setNdefPushMessageCallback
As I tried, in Android ICS, the call to enableForegroundNdefPush pops the “Tap to share” UI to transfer data if the “Tap to share” option is enabled. Is there a way to exchange data using P2P without using the Tap to share user interface, even if the Tap to share option is enabled as enableForegroundNdefPush in the Android gingerbread.
Also, setLocalNdefMessage is removed from ICS, is there any other API that I could use to replace it?
Thank you for your help.
