Unable to save "Is Tomcat project" setting in Eclipse project properties

I have a Spring MVC project that I have deployed to Tomcat (installed both locally and on the server). I am using Eclipse Indigo as my IDE. For deployment, I right-clicked and selected "run on server", which will work fine on localhost. To deploy WAR on a real server, I right-click on the project, select "Export" and do a wizard to deploy the WAR file.

My Eclipse / Java is rusty, but I remembered that when I used it a couple of years ago, I used the Sysdeo plugin for Tomcat, which would give me the opportunity to deploy for war directly from the context of the context menu. So, I poked and found "Mongrel", which I installed. With that, I went to Mongrel to configure and configured the Tomcat version so that I can click the small Start / Stop Tomcat icons and start / stop the server. It was a success.

What I can’t do for life now is in Project Properties-> Tomcat, select "Tomcat Project". I checked the box, and then click "Apply" and / or "OK" to close the window, and when I open it again, my setting is not recorded. I tried to check the checkbox and add other parameters (for example, context name, path for exporting the WAR file, root subdirectory and activation of the dev bootloader), but "sticks" does nothing.

Can someone tell me what I am missing, or at least point me in the right direction? I'm at a dead end.

Thanks in advance.
