Resize popup.html in chrome extension

I have this chrome extension that shows some content in popup.html. As content changes in run-time, popup.html also resizes, expanding where there is more content to display. The problem is that popup.html does not resize back to fit the smaller content. How can i do this?

Add <!DOCTYPE html>popup.html to the very beginning - it looks like you forgot to add it
