You need syntax to call an update on one component from another on the page

I have a fairly simple and common use case. The panel in which the re-control is located. The repeat control gets its contents from the view by key. Below this re-control is another panel. This panel has data binding to the new notes.document. The panel contains a couple of fields for a new document and a submit button.

Everything works, however, after sending it (presumably in the postSaveDocument () event), I want to call back to the repeat control and search again and update its contents.

I want to understand syntactically how I can refer to the repeat control and its properties and methods from other sources of the document - and secondly (although I can see this as soon as I get the first part, I found out) that refresh () will be for this re-control.

Ideally, I think something like: xp: page.repeatcontrolname.refresh () - although I know this is wrong.

I’m sure, as soon as I see an example, it applies to many other things.

Update:

I found that the recurring elements were really refreshing, but I did not see the new entry added to the list. The reason, ultimately, was that to add another entry to the repeat list, I needed a new “control”, but I checked this field (on re-control) that said “Create controls when creating the page”. This prevented my XPage from creating another entry to display a new document!

This article explains the syntax of what you are describing:

I have the feeling that this captures the actual use case.

, , "ignoreRequestParams".

The call to "XSP.PartialRefreshGet" was broken in Domino version 8.5.3, which leads to the error "_c9 is undefined".

Take a look at the article published by Tommy Wahland:

Basically, to solve the problem, you need to pass a second argument, for example:

XSP.partialRefreshGet("#{id:ExistingDevicesList}", "")
