The Flash Privacy Popup dialog box is missing.

I am trying to open the "Privacy Settings" tab in our application for the flash / flex4 video chat we are creating. I have 2 systems with the latest Flash installed (currently 11.1.102.62). However, the player always shows this (privacy question) instead of this (privacy settings tab) when downloading the application. The reason I want the settings tab to appear is because I need an end user to easily check the remember box.

I tried calling Security.showSettings(SecurityPanel.PRIVACY);earlier, as well as after calling getCamera / getMicrophone, but all that happens is to get 2 pop-ups instead of 1. and still not “remember”. In fact, it does not show the privacy tab at all!

I searched for tons of forums, but came up with an empty one. I also searched for adobe docs, but all I find is a paragraph that says, " if your computer or device doesn’t support audio or video using Flash Player, you don’t need to allow or deny access and this panel does not appear " . This is hardly true, since one of the systems we are testing with is the new Macbook Air running on the latest OSX.

Does anyone have an idea of why this might happen and how to display “ Privacy Settings ” rather than “ Priority Privacy Question ”?

This seems to be a bug in the current version of the Flash player. Sometimes the popup also freezes.

I familiarized users of my application with pre-configured their settings .
