Netsession_mac uses a lot of CPU. What is it?

Quite often, my computer gets hot, and the processor fan is soaring loudly when I really am not doing anything requiring it.

I see a process netsession_mac_2fa687cthat uses 78% of the CPU.

What is this process and is it safe to kill it?

I also had this process. He killed him, but he returned automatically. This is part of the Akamai download manager used by Adobe products.

You can remove it using the "Akamai NetSession Uninstaller" utility in / programs / akamai

Adobe recommends removing it safe: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/847373
