Creating a New DSBC ODN User with Delphi

Question

I am trying to make a new entry in User DSN, in the ODBC Data Source Administrator, using the following code:

but the SqlConfigDataSource part does not complete the task, and the error returned is not at all unattainable. This is not a number or description of the error. Can someone help me where I will make a mistake? Thanks

It is likely your mistake, or even a set of errors, is in the incorrect translation of the ODBC headers, which can then be used for the Unicode or Unicode Delphi version. For instance:

• for Unicode Delphi you are better off using functions XxxW(UTF16) from ODBCCP32.DLLthan functions Xxx(ANSI);

• SqlConfigDataSource XxxW PAnsiChar;
