I'm trying to find everything in a paragraph that is not abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789, not a space // gi

above does not work!

/[^a-zA-Z0-9\s]/gi

If you want to exclude only spaces, use:

[^ ]*
