Xcode 4 exported application gives the error "Cannot open the application ... Classic environment is not supported"?

Question

I made a simple application, archived it and went to the organizer. From there, I clicked on Distribute → Export as Application → Do Not Postpone, and then saved it to the desktop. It works fine, but if I upload it to Mediafire and try to download it, I get an error You can't open the application X because the Classic environment is no longer supported.when I try to start it. I have not changed any default settings.

How did you download it? Have you wrapped it in a zip archive or just downloaded a package of raw applications?
