One or more fact tables?

I am trying to build a data file.

I have many dimensions, and a couple of measures are facts. Each measure is associated with all dimensions from a business perspective. There is a standard approach that will have one large fact table with all the measures.

But I have an idea: What if I have separate fact tables for each measure? What will he do with database performance, extensibility of the solution, etc.?

EDIT: there will be a huge solution based on olap cubes in a truly complex corporate environment. Thus, needs are ease of expansion and maintenance at first, and then productivity
