Liquid markup in Java / Scala

I am looking for analogues for the Rails Liquid markup ! in Java or Scala languages. What markup exists as a liquid?

You should also take a look at Handlebars.java .

You can do Helperto emulate liquid filters:

Liquid:

 {{ context | markdownify }}

Handlebars.java:

 {{md context}}

Mustache Scaling

Can do the trick, offers pre-compilation and "disinterested" templates (although I'm not sure that Liquid's security requirements are fully met).

Anyway, check this out, the Scalate template engine itself is quite powerful (jade, scaml, etc.) ...

The most similar one that I can think of is probably Jangod . I think you can use Liquid directly with JRuby. Alternatively, you can use the classic markup format, such as Velocity or Freemarker . Another suggestion that I have not personally tried would be Mustache.java .
