@Model annotation and MVC

The welding documentation states that the annotation javax.enterprise.inject.Modelis for controllers (logical because it marks the bean as @RequestScopedwell @Named).

But why is it called Model instead of Controller?

Since the specification does not imply that you are using a template that includes controllers in the first place.

There are other templates and naming conventions. For example, a seam uses “Action” instead of “Controller” (all, although these concepts are not fully displayed)
