Eclipse ADT 17 causing memory leak when editing UI?

Question

After upgrading to the latest Eclipse ADT 17, whenever I start editing the layout in Graphic Layout mode, there seems to be some serious memory leak. Eclipse statistics behave strangely and require a restart of eclipse.

I am running eclipse Version: 3.7.2 on Windows 7.

Has anyone else observed a similar problem? Do you know a workaround?

This is a known bug .

Upgrading to ADT 20.0.3 should fix the problem (at least in my case it was);)
