The situation is this: we have an application that records sound. If the application works in the second generation iPod Touch, and the airplane mode is turned off, then periodic noises appear, which end with recording due to the WIFI iPod activity.
So, I want to discover that we are working on the second generation iPod Touch (that I know how to do this), and if so, ask the user to turn on airplane mode if it is not already on. Please note that it is NOT ENOUGH to simply know that WIFI is not available , as the iPod will continue to try to “talk” to WIFI every 12 seconds, even if there is no WIFI connection available.
So, does anyone know how to determine if airplane mode is on?
