How can I update the swing tree model?

I use seesaw.tree / simple-tree-model to create my TreeModels, the docs say this is read only. Initially, I did not need to edit the tree structure, but now I do!

In the rocking chair there is a pull request to add update-tree!. Although it is 8 months.

What is the best way to create and edit JTrees using swing / clojure?

Unfortunately, Seesaw tree support is pretty lame. JTree (and it's just the nasty cousin of JTable) is extremely complex, so coming up with a clean wrapper that spans many use cases has proven to be a difficult task.
