Video via phonegap on Android

Question

I am trying to play a video in an android application that I made using phonegap. I had a few problems, so I have a few questions.

Firstly, does the html5 video tag work with telephony? I was unable to write html5 codes. Secondly, what types of videos are supported by android and telephone? Thirdly, I am trying to play a file with the mp4 extension. There is no scene on the screen, but I hear the voice of the video. What could be the reason?
