Subversion discards the last `n` changes

Question

I am trying to download the last 500 revisions from an SVN repository (before reimport as a new repo) using ...

svnadmin dump /path/to/repos > dump.dmp -r2000:HEAD

But the dump does not seem to stop, and the dump file reaches 3 GB (full dump 1: HEAD - only 600 MB).

What am I doing wrong here ?!

Try the following:

svnadmin dump -r2000:HEAD /path/to/repos > dump.dmp
