The archived project is not in the Organizer; found in Finder but file is 0 bytes

Question

I archived my project and looked through Window> Organizer> Archives, but I do not see the archive file. Therefore, I cannot create the .ipa file of my project.

I had another project with me, so I archived it and frantically worked. So I right-clicked on the archived file and selected "Open in Finder". There I found my previously archive file (one that did not appear in Organizer> Archives). He says its size is zero. What does it mean?

How to solve this?

I selected the iOS device from the Target popup, then the simulator, and also added “Yes” to skip the installation, as suggested in this blog post .

Changing the scroll to "NO" works for me.

Make sure your archive scheme looks something like this: based on what you use .ipa for

Product → Edit Schemes

What Vern Jensen said is the right answer to make sure your "installation directory" is set to "/ Application /".
