Redis on heroku sharding

Question

I rate the use of the heroku plus RedisToGo add-on.

I read that it is possible to configure a standalone redis cluster with edging and replication.

However, in the heroku documentation, I see usage examples JedisPoolinstead ShardedJedisPool.

Does this mean that redis on heroku is not scalable or outlined? Or is it done internally?

Unfortunately, Redis To Go Add-on does not support outlines or replication in any of its plans.
