IDLE won't highlight my syntax

Using IDLE and Python version 2.7.3. Only when I start a new file does it stand out for several lines and then just stops after pressing F5. Therefore, all text becomes black.

If there are equally good / best combinations of teams and editors, you can always offer them.

It happened to me. Save it as .py (manually enter .py in the document name) and the highlight will return.

I usually have to save the file as .py before IDLE will even select the syntax. Not sure why he will highlight a few and then stop. I have never done that.
