It may be a stupid question, but I need confirmation, and I have nothing more to ask.
I am trying to understand the consequences of implementing my own push notification for Android mobile devices. This requires a continuous TCP connection to the server, although it will work most of the time.
My assumption is that even in standby mode, in order for the server to be able to transmit data to the client through a TCP connection, an active Internet connection is always required, and if the connection is broken (that is, the user switches the connection off), this click will no longer be possible .
Is this assumption correct?
