How to read and understand monster exception (e.g. this)

We are currently facing the problem that somewhere in our application a monstrous exception is thrown. Since we use Grails and the Spring Framework, an exception is thrown somewhere there.

There seems to be an infinite loop, and the exception stack is getting longer and longer every time it throws again. I don’t know what could have caused this in our code, and I assume that this is just one of the usual incorrect configurations or small errors that sometimes cause Grails to abruptly reduce.

I will try to describe the main parts of the exception here, but since the thrown exception uses 2 GB in the log, I can only show the parts. Even vi had problems opening it, and it looks like it will be thrown out until the memory on the hard drive is full.
