TestFlight cannot complete tester application update

Question

We recently discovered that our internal testers and external testers cannot update our new preview application.

We use the developer initialization file to sign the binary code. The preerelease application can be verified by itunesconnect. It can be successfully sent to the application. Than our testers tried to use TestFlight to update the application. They clicked the Refresh button next to the application icon in TestFlight. TestFlight never ends its work. The circle of progress will not be completed.

Version: TestFlight Version: 1.0.2 (55), XCode Version: 6.3 (6D570), iOS Version: 8.1 (12B411) and 8.2 (12D508) and 8.3 (12F70)

We tried the 3G network and the WiFi network. We tried using all the Apple IDs in TestFlight.

I can’t say that this solution is suitable for all other scenarios, but for my case I received a response from an Apple Bug Reporter engineer.

Engineering provided the following feedback on this issue:

We figured out this problem. TestFlight application does not work correctly to process applications containing leading 0s in their versions. Versions such as 1.6.02 or 3.5.04 will not be able to complete the installation.

Until this is fixed, deal with it using version numbers without leading zeros (1.6.02 → 1.6.2 or 3.5.04 → 3.5.4).
