All of the MS documentation I can find says to go to Project -> Properties -> Debug to see the "Debugger Type" parameter. I don’t have such a “Debug” property page, and I cannot find the “Debugger type” option elsewhere. I have both VS 2013 Pro Update 4 and VS 2012 Pro Update 4.
In VS2013, there should be the following parameters for the type of debugger: only managed, only native, mixed (managed and native), Script only and native with Script.
The only debugging options that I can find are in the section Project → Properties → Web, where there are checkboxes for ASP.NET, native code, SQL Server and Silverlight and "Enable Edit and Continue". These parameters do not correspond to those parameters that are set debugger type parameter.
Also, I don’t understand why my property pages for the project are so different from the documentation I find. JavaScript / Native Interop Debugging in Visual Studio 2013 and Mixed Native and Managed Debugging For most projects, I have property pages: Application, Build, Web, Package / Publish Web, Package / Publish SQL, Silverlight Applications, Build Events, Resources, Settings, Reference Paths, Signing, Code Analysis. Why are my property pages so different from what I see on these two links? And where to find the documentation for the parameters that I see?
I should add that I tried to create all types of web projects in C #: Empty, MVC3 and MVC4 (empty and internet templates), WebForms. I get the same for property pages.
