The terminal does not work in WebStorm 9

I can not enter terminal:

I had the same problem. Disabling "experimental functions" for cmd helped. Right-click the cmd title bar and go to properties.

Be sure to restart Webstorm or PhpStorm after this.

For Windows 10: Just check the "Use legacy console" box.

For Windows 10 Technical Preview: Uncheck the Enable Enable Experimental Console Features check box on the Experimental tab disable experimental features of cmd.exe

I have Windows 10. I went to the CMD properties and enabled the "use inherited console" option. (Sorry, my seal is in Portuguese. But I think this will help.

Try adding a new terminal tab (open a new session) by pressing the green PLUS sign (or right-click → new session). It worked for me.
