Chrome Web Store doesn’t display my extension in search results

Yesterday I posted a chrome extension to the public with the name and title "Bumpy". But I could not find it in the chrome online store when searching with the same name.

Please let me know if someone has encountered the same problem and the correct approach to solving it.

The Chrome Web Store usually takes some time (more than one day or so) to index recently adopted extensions. If a certain shutdown does not occur, it should appear in the near future.

If you don’t see that you see it within a few days after the release, you can post a question and someone should help you.

When I published my extension in the Chrome Store on Friday February 26, 2016, it didn’t appear in search results until Thursday March 3, six days later. And then only after the publication of the question on https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/contact/developer_support/

CWS developer support never explained the cause of the original problem or how it was resolved. They only replied that they were working on it, and this item appeared only three days later.

FYI, they explained that the search in the Chrome Web Store is based on a regular Google search. Therefore, if your search query partially matches other extensions that have a high page rank outside of CWS, your extension may be listed much lower than them, even if your search matches the search in the Store more closely. Poor design, IMHO, because users who are looking for a specific need for the Store are likely to rate close match relatively higher than the popularity rating when searching the entire web universe.
