Pull quotes for paper from a Google scientist using R

Using a google scientist and R, I would like to find out who is citing a particular article.

Existing packages (such as scholar ) focus on H-index analysis: statistics for the researcher.

I want to give the target paper as input. Url example:

https://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar?oi=bibs&hl=en&cites=12939847369066114508

Then R should clear these citation pages (google scientar paginates the) for paper, returning an array of documents that cite the target (up to 500 or more links). Then we will search for keywords in headings, list magazines in tables, and list authors, etc.

Any tips on how to do this? Or is it literally scraping every page? (what can I do with copy and paste for one-time operations).

It seems like this should be a generally useful feature for things like organizing crops, so someone adding this to the package can significantly increase their H :-)

Although there is a Google API , there are many APIs available for Google. Thus, although a web crawler on Google Scholar pages can be easy to develop, I don’t know the extent to which it can be illegal. Check it out.
